BLUEBERRY GRUNT
Sauce: 1 quart fresh blueberries 1/2 c white sugar or more 1/2 c water Dumplings: 2 c flour 4 tsp baking powder 1 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp salt 2 tbsp butter 1/4 - 1/2 c milk Mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a bowl. Cut in the butter and add enough milk to make a soft biscuit dough. Drop by spoonfuls onto the hot blueberries. Cover closely and do not peek for 15 minutes. Serve hot. |
