BLUEBERRY BUCKLE
1/2 c shortening or margarine 3/4 c white sugar (first amount) 1/2 c white sugar (second amount) 2 c fresh blueberries 1/2 c milk 1 egg 2 c flour (first amount) 1/2 c flour (second amount) 2 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1/4 c butter or margarine
Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar (first amt.); add egg and beat until light and fluffy. Stir together flour (first amt.), baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with
milk. Spread in greased 11 x 7 1/2 inch pan. Top with blueberries. Mix sugar (second amt.), flour (second amt.), and cinnamon; cut in butter until crumbly; sprinkle over blueberries. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Cut into squares. Serve warm.
