BUNNY TWINS
These bunnies are 19" high, plus the ears

MATERIALS:
1. Worsted weight yarn, 6 ozs grey, 2 ozs white, 2 ozs royal blue, small amounts of pink, lime, light blue, and navy, for each bunny
2. Crochet hook size F
3. Polyester stuffing
4. Shank type shiny black buttons, 1/2'' diameter, 3 for each bunny
5. Scraps of felt: pink, blue, grey
6. Glue
7. Three 12" chenille sticks for each bunny

INSTRUCTIONS:
Body:
Beg at neck, with grey,ch 2.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc. Mark end of rnds.
Rnd 3: Work even - 12 sc.
Rnd 4: 2 sc in each sc.
Rnds 5-7: Work even - 24 sc.
Rnd 8: (2 sc in next sc, sc in each of 2 sc) 8 times - 32 sc.

Form Shoulders:
Rnd 9: Sc in first sc, *ch 5; sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 3 ch, sc in next 16 sc, repeat from * once.
Rnd 10: *Sc in each of 4 ch on shoulder, 2 sc in ch at tip of shoulder, sc in next 20 sc, repeat from * once - 52 sc.
Rnd 11: Sc around, inc 2 sc at tip of each shoulder - 56 sc.
Rnds 12-42: Work even.
Rnd 43: (Sc next 2 sc tog, sc in each of next 5 sc) 8 times - 48 sc.

Form Legs:
Fold body flat, sc to center of body. Ch 2 for crotch. Sk 24 sc, sc in next sc. Work sc in each sc around to crotch, sc in each of 2 ch. Mark end of rnd. Work 4 rnds even. Dec 1 sc each rnd (not in same place) until there are 22 sc. Work 12 rnds even.

Form Foot:
Straighten body and fold leg in half to find center front of leg. Mark with safety pin. Sc in each sc to pin; sc in sc with pin. Ch 11, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 9 ch, sc in st with pin.
Rnd 1: Sc around leg, sc in each of 10 ch, 2 sc in ch at tip, sc in each of next 10 sc - 44 sc.
Rnd 2: Sc around, inc 2 sc at tip of foot.
Rnds 3-7: Work even - 46 sc. End off. Stuff body. Work 2nd leg and foot to correspond.

Sole:
With grey, ch 16.
Rnd 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each of next 13 ch, 2 sc in last ch. Working on opposite side of ch, sc in each ch, 2 sc in last ch.
Rnd 2: Sc around, inc 2 sc each end.
Rnds 3 and 4: Sc around, Inc 3 sc in each end. Continue to work sc to next end. End off. Stuff legs; sew soles to feet.

Head:
Beg at nose, with white, ch 2. Work as for body through rnd 4.
Rnd 5: Work even.
Rnd 6: (Sc in each of 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 8 times.
Rnds 7-9: Work even. Change to grey.
Rnd 1O: 2 sc in each of 20 sc, sc in 12 sc.
Rnds 11-17: Work even - 52 sc.
Rnd 18: (Sc in each of 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 13 times.
Rnds 19 and 20: Work even - 65 sc.
Rnd 21: (Sc in each of 11 sc, work 2 sc tog) 5 times - 60 sc.
Rnds 22-25: Work even.
Rnd 26: (Work 2 sc tog. sc in each of 4 sc) 10 times - 50 sc.
Rnd 27: Work even.
Rnd 28: (Sc in each of 3 sc, work 2 sc tog) 10 times - 40 sc.
Rnd 29; Work even.
Rnd 3O: (Sc in each of 2 sc. work 2 sc tog) 10 times - 30 sc.
Rnd 31: Work even.
Rnd 32: (Work 2 sc tog) 15 times. Stuff head. Work 1 rnd even. Work 2 sc tog 7 times. Complete stuffing; sew up back of head. Sew head to neck.

Ear:
With grey, ch 37.
Rnd 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each of next 34 ch, 2 sc in last ch. Working on other side of ch, 2 sc in next ch, sc in each ch to end. Ch 1. turn.
Rnd 2: Sc in each sc around, inc 3 sc at rounded end. Ch 1, turn.
Rnd 3: Sc in each sc to rounded end, 2 sc in sc before center sc, sc in center sc, ch 3; sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next ch, sc in center sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in each sc to end. Ch 1, turn.
Rnd 4: Sc in each st to tip, ch 2; sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc to end. End off.

Ear Lining:
With pink, work as for ear through row 2. End off. Steam-press ears and linings. Sew linings to ears; leave bottom edge open. Twist 1 1/2" chenille sticks into one long one for each ear. Form into U shape. Push into ear opening and bend ends over slightly. Push ends into head. Sew bottom of ear tog to cup it; sew to head.

Arm:
Beg at center back of paw. with grey, ch 8.
Rnd 1: Sc in 2nd from hook and in next 5 ch, 2 sc in last ch. Working on opposite side of ch, 2 sc in next ch, sc in each ch to end, 2 sc in last ch. Mark end of rnd.
Rnd 2: Sc around, inc 3 sc at each end.
Rnd 3: *Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around.
Rnds 4 and 5: Work even, end last rnd 4 sc before center st at end.

Form Wrist:
Ch 9; drop lp from hook; sk next 8 sc, insert hook in next sc, pull lp through st.
Rnd 1: Sc in each ot 9 ch, sc in each of 8 sc.
Rnds 2-25: Work even on 17 sc. End off.

Paw Pad:
With white, work as for paw through rnd 3. Stuff arm and hand, sewing pad on as you stuff hand. Sew top of arm flat across (do not stuff last inch), then gather top. Sew to shoulder, with pad turned in toward body.

Tail:
Make a 3" white pompon; sew in place.

Features:
Using patterns as guides, from felt, cut pink mouth, 2 blue eyes, 2 grey eyelids for boy or eyelashes for girl. Sew button to center of face; glue mouth below. Sew eye buttons to felt eyes; glue felt to face. Glue eyelids over top of boy's eyes. Fringe girl's eyelashes. Put a line of glue next to fringe, fold up lashes and press with fingers. When dry, press fringe the other way with fingers, causing lashes to stick out. Glue eyelashes over top of eyes.

Dress:
Granny square:
With lime, ch 4. Sl st in first ch to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3, 2 dc in ring, ch 2, (3 dc, ch 2) 3 times in ring, sl st in top of ch 3. End off.
Rnd 2: Join royal blue in any ch-2 sp, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in same sp, *ch 1, 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in next ch-2 sp, repeat from * around, end ch 1, sl st in top of ch 3. End off.
Rnd 3: Join light blue in any corner ch-2 sp, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in same sp, *ch 1, 3 dc in next sp, ch 1, 3 dc, ch2, 3 dc in corner sp, repeat from * around, end ch 1, 3 dc in next sp, ch 1, sl st in top of ch 3. End off.
Rnd 4: Join navy in any corner sp, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in same sp. * (ch 1, 3 dc in next sp) twice, ch 1, 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in corner sp, repeat from * around, end (ch 1, 3 dc in next sp) twice, ch 1, sl st in top of ch 3. End off.
Rnd 5: With lime, work as for rnd 4, making 1 extra group of 3 dc on each side. End off.
Rnd 6: With royal blue, sc in each st around square, working 4 sc in each corner sp. Work another square the same.

Side:
Make two. Work 2 royal blue granny squares through rnd 2. Sew squares tog along one edge. Work 2 rows of dc evenly along one short edge (bottom edge). Sew sides between large granny squares.

Strap:
Make two. With royal blue, ch 8.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook (counts as 2 dc), dc in each of next 4 ch-6 dc. Ch 3. turn.
Row 2: Sk first dc, dc in each of next 4 dc, dc in top of ch 3. Ch 3. turn. Repeat row 2 for 11 more rows. Working along long edge, 2 sc in end of each dc row. Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in each sc. Ch 2, turn; dc in each sc. End off. With lime, sc in each dc. End off. Gather front square along top edge. Sew strap ends to top edge, meeting at center. Sew back ends of straps to back square, beginning at side edge ot large square.

Hat:
Work granny square through rnd 3.

Ruffle:
With royal blue, ch 32. Dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 2, turn; 2 dc in each dc. End off. With lime, sc in first dc, * 2 sc in next dc, sc in next dc, repeat from * across. End off. Place square on back of head with point between ears. Sew center of ruffle to point. With ruffle in front of ears, sew last 1 1/2" of ruffle to bottom edges of square, beg at side points and working toward lower back point. Sew yarn to hat at ends of ruffle; tie under chin.

Pants:
Make 2 granny squares through rnd 6. Work 1 row of dc, along 3 sides, working 5 dc in each corner. Work 1 row of dc along top edge only (center side of 3 sides just worked). Place squares on legs; sew up pants legs to crotch. Sew squares tog, above crotch for front seam. Leave back open for tail.

Strap:
Make two. With royal blue, ch 55. Work 2 rows of dc. With lime, work 1 row sc on each edge. Sew straps to front of pants, cross in back, sew back ends in place, holding pants opening snug around tail.

Bow Tie:
Make granny square through rnd 3. Gather across center to form tie. Pull yarn through center ot tie; tie ends tog at back of neck.
