Pineapple Squares
Ingredients:
3/4 c. butter
1/4 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
20 oz. can crushed pineapple
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. coconut
1 egg
Method:
1. Cream together butter and white sugar.
2. Add flour, salt and mix until blended.
3. Press into unbuttered 8 3/4 sq. in. pan.
4. Drain pineapple and press out excess syrup.
5. Spread over lower crust.
6. Beat together egg, brown sugar, salt, vanilla and coconut.
7. Spread evenly over pineapple.
8. Bake for 35 minutes at 325 deg.
